About
The Scripting MySQL blog focuses on using scripting languages such as Python, Perl and PHP to connect to the world’s most popular open source database – MySQL.
Please note: I am not an expert at scripting with Perl, Python or PHP. The only thing that I claim to be really good at doing is getting “up and down” from the fringe while playing golf. Well, I am pretty good at eating without making a mess. But, since I am not an expert, I may not use the “best scripting practices” for any of the examples. I am only focusing on providing the bare minimum of scripting information and advice. If I become aware of any errors in my scripting, I will try to modify the scripts when possible. I do appreciate any comments regarding the scripts, but not all comments will be posted.
